News Detail

Mar, 2020

This is an important reminder that the registration period for Little League is nearing an end as we are just two and a half weeks away from holding evaluations and drafting teams for the Spring 2020 Little League season.  Evaluations are scheduled for Saturday March 14 or Saturday March 21 at Fields for Kids in Bangor from 11:30am-1:00pm.  If your child needs to attend evaluations (more on that below), please be there promptly at 11:30 so we can sign your child up for the evaluation and assign them an evaluation number. Players only need to attend one evaluation.

What are evaluations?  To those of you who are new to little league, it is an opportunity for our coaches and independent evaluators to run a series of hitting, throwing, and fielding drills to assess your child’s abilities and place them in a division that will provide them the best playing experience.  It’s also an opportunity for the board of directors to divide teams fairly which also provides for a better overall experience for all players.  Please make sure to register your child prior to evaluations.  If your child is not registered and has not filled out a medical waiver form, they will not be able to attend evaluations.

So who needs to tryout?  Good Question, And I have broken it down here to try and make it as clear as possible.  As we have limited indoor field time available this year, we are trying to keep tryout numbers as manageable as possible.
